Hello! My name is Collin. I'm a student at the University of Washington, studying ecology, conservation, and evolutionary biology (minoring in marine biology). I like marine invertebrates, skeletons of all shapes and sizes, macroalgae, 20th century classical music, and carnivorous plants.

A comatulid crinoid (Florometra sp.), from off San Juan Island. I actually didn’t know they lived outside of tropical waters until I saw this one. The gloved hands belong to Katherine Maslenikov, director of the UW fish collection.
