The best part about being done with an experiment is the ability to sit in your room on your bed processing and analyzing data in your underwear.

I hung a prototype kelp cage off the dock today to see how they hold up and I can’t stop worrying about it becoming detached and sinking. I’m so nervous that I’m probably going to have trouble sleeping.

in seattle we don’t say, “i love you”, we say, “STARBUCKS COFFEE, organic shopping, space needle, pike place, rain, OH LOOK, MT RAINIER IS OUT TODAY!” which roughly translates to, “lets get dick’s on broadway”. i think that’s really beautiful.

Hi Followers!
Today I’m leaving sunny(!) Seattle to spend 3 months at Friday Harbor Marine Labs on San Juan Island, where I’ll be studying marine invertebrates, algae, and doing some nearshore ecology research. I’m not exactly sure how much free time I’ll have for tumbling, but I’ll try to take lots of pictures of pretty sea-things for y’all.
